How to Draw A Cartoon Crocodile

Step 1

Alligators have very different head and mouth shapes, and we will depict them in this first step of our guide on drawing a cartoon alligator.

First, use a spherical, wavy stripe for the top of your head. This line will serve as the area around the eyes we will draw later.

Next, we’ll use several smaller curved lines connecting the crumpled top of the alligator’s long mouth.

You can draw the rounded snout and extend another slightly wavy line inwards for the mouth.

Finish this step by pulling the bottom shape of the long mouth and then adding small sharp teeth at the top to Draw A Cartoon Crocodile.

Step 2

In this second step of the tutorial, we will draw some facial features of this cartoon alligator. First, we need to add some eyes to this boy!

Draw some oval conditions at the front of his jaws and then tauten some pupils using smaller ovals.

Next, draw some smaller, pointy teeth sticking out of his mouth.

To complete this step, you can draw small round shapes at the end of the snout for some of the nostrils. You can then continue with step 3 of the instructions!

Step 3

In this third step, we will add a lot to your cartoon alligator drawing! First and foremost, we focus on the body. First, we draw the left arm.

This will have some curved stripes at the base of the arm. The arm will be thin and spherical, and we will add two short but sharp nails at the end.

Next, draw a line from the underside of the head for the alligator’s chest, then draw the other arm from behind.

Finally, draw some spikes on the nape and the big wavy tail sticking out from the back to Draw A Cartoon Crocodile.

This will also feature small spikes, and then you can add more.

Step 4

We’ll draw some final details on how to draw a cartoon alligator in the next step of this guide, but first, we’ll finish the outline of the body.

To do this, you can draw a curvy line extending from the chest to the abdomen and the body’s base.

This alligator’s legs are fairly small and rounded, lying flat on the ground. Like the arms, they will end in large, sharp claws to Draw A Cartoon Crocodile.

Finally, add the inner contour for the stomach area and some small curved lines to the knees. Then it comes down to those last few details we mentioned!

Step 5

Now you can add details and finishing touches to your cartoon alligator drawing, and in the last step, you can add some colors.

In this step, you can add some custom details and your additions! First, let’s finish those details.
